Meet the Team
Molly (Dilute Calico) and Morris (Orange) are our house cats and are wonderful greeting committee. They can often be found lounging on top of the keyboard or on the desk staring at you for affection. Molly is originally from Scotland and has found her fur-ever home here at Cats’ Castle. Morris came to us a few years ago and we have welcome him with open paws!
Jess – A former Oakville and Milton Humane Society animal care attendant. Jess has had experience with ALL kinds of animals including those that don’t live in your home: elephants, reindeer, camels, ponies and very big cats – Cheetahs! (she worked at African Lions Safari). A graduate of the University of Guelph, while she was in school, she also volunteered at the animal care service right on campus! Jess has two special kitties of her own named Kona and Dexter.
Miranda – Miranda’s passion for animals has been expressed throughout her years of experience! She has spent time working with the Humane Society and the SPCA as an adoption counselor as well as an animal protection officer. Miranda has fostered over 20 families of kitties, and has given 4 beautiful rescue cats their furrever home with her and her family.
Melanie- Mel has been a cat lover for well over a decade, bringing her first cat home (without her parents permission!!) at 10 years old! She has since completed the animal care program at Sheridan, and spent several years working in an emergency veterinarian clinic, and also got her pet fix as a manager at Pet Valu. We are proud to have this cat lady as a part of our Cats’ Castle team!
Kylie – Kylie has been working with Cats’ Castle on and off since she was 13 years old nearly 10 years ago! When she went off to the University of Guelph, she took the opportunity to work at the Guelph Humane Society, and as a veterinary assistant in a vet clinic. After graduation Kylie gained experience with some more out of the ordinary animals like lemurs, porcupines and even Kangaroos with Hands On Exotics! She loves all things furry, but has a special fur baby in her life named Safari!
Kirsten – Animals have been a central part of her life since she was a little girl. She has been involved in many aspects of animal rescue including fostering kittens. A graduate of York University she has gained many hands on skills over the past 12 years. She is married and the proud mom of two daughters and 2 fur babies: 1 cat named Brighton and 1 dog named Stella.
